Because physically racking, wiring, and configuring the network takes time, we want to set realistic expectations for this final stretch.

Because we rely on transparency, we want to give you the exact timeline of what has transpired behind the scenes, how our infrastructure is set up, and the immediate steps we are taking to get you back online.
## Our Infrastructure Setup
To provide full clarity on how our London location operates: We use HostDime as our upstream infrastructure provider in the UK. HostDime, in turn, utilizes data center space and network services from a separate, overarching facility operator. We are a customer of HostDime, and HostDime is a customer of that facility operator.
## The Timeline of the Outage
* The Initial 48 Hours: When the outage first occurred, HostDime provided zero actionable information, leaving us completely in the dark for nearly 48 hours while your services remained offline.
* The Root Cause Revealed: After relentless pressure from our team, HostDime finally admitted that they were engaged in a severe contractual dispute with the overarching facility operator. Because of this dispute, the facility operator abruptly shut off all power and network access to the server cages.
* The Failed Physical Rescue: On Friday, HostDime executives explicitly guaranteed us that our physical hardware had been secured and was ready for us to pick up. We immediately hired a certified IT asset relocation company to go directly to the facility to extract our servers.
* The Lockout Confirmed: After our extraction team waited in the facility reception for several hours, HostDime finally admitted they were denied access by the overarching facility. We were forced to dismiss our extraction team empty-handed.
## HostDime's Data Recovery Timeline:
HostDime claims they might regain access to the facility on Tuesday at the earliest to retrieve the original hardware. Given the series of conflicting statements we received, we are treating this timeline with extreme skepticism.
## Our Immediate Action Plan: New UK Infrastructure
Over the last 24 hours, our team has successfully sourced, provisioned, and tested brand-new bare-metal servers in a completely different, highly stable UK data center. This new infrastructure is online and ready right now.
This enables us to create replacement VPS instances for you to resume your workflow immediately.
## Your Recovery Options: Action Required
We are handling the recovery of your affected VPS individually through this ticket. Please review the two options below:
Option 1: Deploy a New, Blank VPS Immediately (Recommended)
We will instantly provision a clean VPS with a fresh Operating System on our new London infrastructure with your original IP address.
To do so, we will move your customer account from Winity.io to our main brand VPSDime.com to offer you much better integration, 10Gbps network uplink and better software support, such as out of band console for your VPS.
All your billing history and support history will be migrated and you'd be interacting with your VPS and us through VPSDime.com.
By default we will use Windows Server 2025. If you have another choice for your operating system version, please mention it in your reply.

* Why we recommend this: Because our hardware is currently locked in the old facility, we cannot access your historical data. This option allows you to get back online today and immediately restore your own off-site backups and get online as soon as possible.
If and when the vendor eventually releases our original hardware, we could provide you with your old data at that time.
Option 2: Wait for Original Data Recovery
You can choose to leave your service offline and wait to see if HostDime regains access to the locked facility to retrieve our hardware.
* Please be aware: The vendor claims they might get access next week but there is no guaranteed timeline, and your VPS will remain offline until the hardware is released.
